I'm a big boy now!

Kael had THE cutest hair of all when he was born. BUT, as he grew and got older, the ends got thin and staticky. Finally, at 3 months, I couldn't stand it any more! So, I gave Baby K his first haircut. I was shocked at how much hair I took off, even though I was expecting a lot! I was very conservative and he still has a lot of hair. But, I think it looks a little more tame and healthy. He looks like a big boy now! :)

Nummy juice- hot dog

Robby drinking the liquid in a Vienna Sausage can.... He wanted to try it and I said okay thinking he would instantly hate it. Not so. He proudly announced "Juice, hot dog! Not wucky, nummy!"

Story time with Drew

Cute hair... cute kids

Kael's hair reminded me of "Jim" on "The Office", so I tried to take pictures. Evan and Robby had to get in on the action.

Evan's birthday party- Cars!

We had "tires" to eat, made license plates, colored Cars pictures and broke a Cars pinata.

Boys and their trains

Candid Camera

Robby did his make-up so he would be beautiful....

Christmas 2008- it starts!

Ryan put on the lights and garland and the boys put all the ornaments on. They picked mostly ones that mean something to them, ie made them at school. I thought it was really cute and the tree actually turned out well!

Monkey Backpack

Robby has had this monkey "packpack" for a while. He goes through phases of really loving it. This month has started with renewed interest in the monkey backpack.

Random shots of insanity

Evan teaching Robby his old tricks! Evan used to LOVE to hide in little spaces. The other day, he came to get me all excited about what he had shown Robby. I found Robby in the toy box. Silly boys!

Robby helping with laundry....

Halloween!

Our neighbor Matt is a professional photgrapher. We ran into him on our way out the door for trick-or-treating and took tons of shots of the boys. We were out for 2 hours trick-or-treating, so we didn't take pictures then knowing Matt had taken so many. I will post them when I get them from him.

Nanny Evan....

I had a bug situation (turned out to be a false alarm) that I had to take care of. Since we regularly have poisonous spiders in our house, I didn't want Kael anywhere near while I took care of it. Kael was really mad a nd crying so I took a chance and had Evan hold him for me. Within a minute, Kael had stopped crying. I hurriedly finished and returned to find Evan, lovingly caring for Kael, much as you would imagine an adult would. It was so adorable! I ran to get the camera and took these pictures.

Moby wrap

Kael gets crabby in the afternoons UNLESS he is riding in his Moby wrap. A Moby wrap is just a VERY expensive, very long piece of fabric that comes with a book of instructions on how to tie it into a baby sling... AND I LOVE IT! Ryan was mad I spent $40 on it, but it has been a life saver! Kael usually falls right to sleep, but one day after about 10-15 minutes I looked down and was met by little eyes! It was seriously cracking me up! So, I had to take a picture. It really doesn't do it justice, especially since his binkie is no longer pushed to one side. I took this picture looking down into the sling, just to give you a reference point.

I couldn't help it!

Kael has had an icky tummy so he has been a little.... persnickety. I couldn't help putting him in this onesie one day after we had had a particularly aggravating morning.

He looks just like Robby!!! (Or so they all say, but...)

First, sorry for the poor quality of the first picture. Our scanner died, so it is a picture of a picture :-P! However, it adequately illustrates my point- Kael also looks A LOT like Evan! The top picture is Evan at about 10 days old. The bottom picture is Kael at about 2 weeks old. So, what do y'all think? More like Robby or Evan? Or both?

Ryan, you are tardy AGAIN?!

Our usually punctual Ryan had been arriving at work between 9 AM and 10 AM. At least he has a good reason- he just can't put that cute baby down!

Making sugar cookies with Grandma O.

Grandma and Grandpa Oliver came to visit the week after Kael was born. Fun Grandma brought stuff to make sugar cookies! The boys had SO much fun! We had a few cookies to eat, but the boys ate most of it as dough... As long as the kids were having fun, that was all that mattered! :)
